This page lists some of the books I’ve read, and blogs that I follow, and I think others should read these too!
Books

Make Time: Make Time by Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky is a practical guide to improving focus and productivity by prioritising what truly matters each day. The book introduces a four-step framework—Highlight, Laser, Energize, and Reflect—to help readers break free from constant busyness and create time for meaningful work. I loved this book so much, and use many of the techniques from it. When I start feeling like I’m losing professional focus, I dive back into the book to remind myself of some of their top tips.

The Software Architect Elevator: The Software Architect Elevator by Gregor Hohpe explores the evolving role of software architects in driving digital transformation within organisations. The book emphasises the need for architects to bridge the gap between technical implementation and business strategy, using real-world insights and practical frameworks. There are some great re-usable analogy’s and models in this book! I’ve found myself quoting content from this regularly when having sessions with peers and CTOs.
Blogs
Salesforce Ben: I’ve been following Salesforce Ben for the last few years. Salesforce Ben is a leading independent Salesforce blog that provides in-depth guides, industry news, and expert insights for Salesforce professionals. It covers a wide range of topics, including certifications, best practices, career advice, and technical tutorials to help users navigate the Salesforce ecosystem effectively. Their content is regularly updated, and they summarise a lot of official Salesforce content, like release notes, into easily digestible summaries.
